Sites

26 March 2006 » System administration

I maintain a few other sites. Some are better tended than others. All of them are now hosted on Linsang, described below.

  • krook.net
My personal homepage. This thing has existed in one way or another since November 1995. Some of it hasn’t even been updated since then.
  • krook.info
The résumé. Basically up there for people interested in using my skillset in freelance projects. It also serves to provide coworkers with background on my skills and expertise.
  • civet.net
Civet Networks Inc. My Connecticut based corporation. As a freelancer, this helps out with the taxes.
  • cw.krook.org
CivetWare scripts. BSD-style licensed scripts available for the taking. ASP, PHP, JSP, JHTML, JavaScript.
  • strongbrain.org
A pseudo-blog, semi-journalistic venture between myself, my sister, and two college friends.
  • playagiron.net
PlayaGirón gets its name from how the Cubans refer to the Bay of Pigs. It is a collection of artifacts that I picked up in Cuba when I studied there. It also houses my thesis and papers from my college career as a Political Science and International Studies major.
  • krook.org
One of two servers sitting in my house. “Civet” is a Sun Blade 100 running Solaris 10 on a 64 bit SPARC chip, which is the file, CVS, and mail server. “Linsang” is an IBM eServer xSeries 226 running CentOS 4 on a Xeon EM64T chip, which is the Web, application, and database server.
